Clemmons Forest offers a mix of pine and hardwood vegetation and a pleasant rolling terrain highlighted by streams and rock outcroppings. These features are made accessible by a series of well marked trails, accented by exhibits and displays about the ecology of a managed forest. A fascinating feature, especially to children is a selection of talking trees and rocks. Picnic shelter, individual picnic sites, hiking, bird-watching available. Edcuational programs available for groups of 10 or more. No fees for any programs at the forest.

For an outing for your pet, enjoy the new dog park in Clayton!
The park has two separate enclosures, one for small dogs under 20 pounds and the one-acre large dog area which include rocks, a tunnel and benches. Water, wash station, trash containers, and picnic tables are located outside the fenced areas.
