Home to the Clayton Fear Farm held every October the Boyette Family Farm transforms into a scary place at night, however, for the young and easily frightened the Farm Days are suitable for smaller children.

After the spooky season is over, the farm transforms again for the Lights on the Neuse, Christmas light show that runs through December.

Offering instructions for various types of dance, including salsa, latin, ballroom, east and west coast swing, country western, and even line dancing!
We also are available for on site instruction at parties, reunions and wedding receptions.
We also host a lot of fun projects involving dance performances, music videos, modeling class and shows.
DPM Studio's goal is to make dance instruction easy to learn and most importantly fun!

- Take a 2-hour canoe trip on the river with Neuse Adventures Canoe & Kayak Rentals in Clayton.
- Catch the family fun of youth athletics throughout the year for soccer, baseball, football and basketball…check out schedules with the local Clayton Parks & Recreation Department. The new Clayton Community Centers has tons of activities for children and the whole family!
- Follow the Carolina’s Campaign Civil War Trail in Johnston County that marks the activities of General William T. Sherman as he fought the last major battle of the Civil War in Johnston County in the village at Bentonville, March 19-21, 1865. There are ten markers that begin in the Bentonville community and travel through to Clayton.
- Enjoy the thrills of motocross tracks at the Motocross Park East in the Archer Lodge, Johnston County’s newest town.
- Check out a book or video from one of the eight libraries in the county. (Smithfield, Selma, Benson, Clayton, Cleveland (40/42), Four Oaks, Kenly and Princeton)
- Taste and compare White Swan’s, Smithfield’s and McCall’s BBQ…..determine who is the best? Everyone has their favorite!!!!

- In October, Boyette Farms turns into the Clayton Fear Farm complete with haunted houses, scary hay rides and much more. More suitable for the small children during the daylight hours.
- Return to Boyette Farms at Christmas time for a hayride along the Neuse River for the “Lights on the Neuse”.
- For kids of all ages, stop by the Pottery Camp and paint a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special.
- The FlipSide in downtown Clayton offers live entertainment year round.
- Jone’s Lunch is the place to visit for some famous “red skin” Carolina Packer Hot Dogs. It’s a Clayton favorite!

Open play admission is $8 for children 3 and older, $3 for children 2 and younger. Adults and non-mobile infants & children are always free. Stay and play as long as you’d like – no play sessions or time limits!
